No. The bacteria test is a general check for coliform bacteria. Although, e.coli is a type of coliform bacteria. If e.coli is present, the test will show positive.

Yes. This test kit works for well and municipal water.

No. The bacteria test powder is made up of organic compounds that allow harmful bacteria to cultivate.

Yes. It measures water hardness, pH, and Alkalinity.

No. The jar contains nutrients and a test dye.

The expiration date is labelled on the box. Although, we recommend using the test strips within a year of receiving the strips for optimal results. Once a package is opened, the strips should be used within 6 months. (Each separate pouch can be used within 6 months of opening) 

Testing strips are faster and simpler than liquid testing kits, with accuracy as good or better. There are less chances to make mistakes when using test strips than there are with liquid testing kits

Although, there are limitations to everything. We recommend frequent testing to verify your results as well as sending a water sample to the lab once in a while to verify your results.

These test strips cannot be re-used. One test strip = one test.

Estimate your results by finding the closest two colors that it matches. Your water will be somewhere between these two ranges.
